I previously ordered this exact Chuck Saka print penny board a little over a year ago. It was great and super durable but I lost it when I moved recently. So I ordered another one, both from this same listing, and when it showed up i noticed that a lot of the paint was badly applied. There are weird air bubbles, tiny cracks, and HUGE imperfections in the paint on the design. Some of the paint isn’t applied completely over embossed areas, leaving gaps of the color it was printed on visible. None of this was present on the first skateboard I ordered. I’m not sure what happened or why this one made it through quality control, and the bottom of the board will get scuffed anyways so it doesn’t matter a whole lot, but this is a surprisingly bad print job and (at least in my experience) out of the ordinary for penny boards.I go to college at Furman University in Greenville, SC. I figured I'd add that because it's a relatively specific use case. I use it to go to class every day and to ride around, before this I had a knock-off board that was a little longer, and this is exactly what I was hoping it'd be. Very sturdy and stable, I've taken it on many a hill and dale and it's stayed under my feet the whole time. I did just recently add grip tape to it, but it was still plenty grippy for casual use beforehand. Bearings and wheels are nice, I can cruise pretty far. Nice and portable too, I just pick it up and carry it into class with me, it even fits in the straps under my backpack if I don't plan to use it for a while. Doesn't really fit inside my backpack, it could if I needed it to but not zipped and not much else could go in there. Then again I've never felt like that was something I was missing. Color is nice, looks pretty cool, all my longboard friends are terrified of it but I think it's the best board I own. Admittedly I am not a board snob and I'm sure there are marginally superior bearings and wheels, but even my board snob friends never comment about me needing to upgrade any of that.TL;DR Daily commuting use and never dissapoints. Worth the buy.Good bearings, wheels, trucks, and super light, hard to balance on but once you get used to it your fine. I recommend getting a skate tool if you want to tighten the trucks so you wobble less going down hill. But you should just get a bigger penny board or cruiser cause this wobbles a lot going down hill. If you want a normal skateboard ? I'd recommend a 80$ USD complete board then when the deck breaks you can just replace it for 30 40$ but you can use the same trucks, bearings, skrews, wheels on the new deck. I'll update you if it breaks.(penny board)I had been wanting a Penny skateboard for the past 4 years when I first played with one at Evo. I never pulled the trigger because I'm a 30+ year old mom and was realistic about how little I would actually use it. Now that my oldest is getting close enough in age to be able to ride a skateboard and I found it at a great price I finally pulled the plunge. I am a terrible skateboarder with no real steering control or exceptional balance but it's so fun to take out on family walks. My toddler lollygags so I can ride back and forth in the street next to him instead of practicing my patience walking a foot per minute. My oldest also finds it fun to chase me in the street. It's beautiful and glossy, high quality, short (careful if you have big men feet), flexible, and really easy to control if you have some experience. Very high quality and rolls fairly smooth on 50 year old Seattle streets. I have also used it on multiple occasions as a dolly to roll heavy packages into the house :) Highly recommend!I'm a college student, so having a smaller skateboard is almost essential for me. The college I go to is small so I don't tend to ride it around campus much as it's just a five minute walk across campus, but nonetheless I decided to get a penny board to make the trips down to the gas station a little quicker and save gas. I really enjoyed this skateboard. It provides a nice smooth ride and doesn't get caught up in cracks unless going at the same speed of a slow walk. When using on the road, unless the road is traveled a lot, you will feel the vibrations from the non-smooth pavement. This is such with any skateboard but this one lessens the numbness you feel extremely well. I have other skateboards such as the ripstik, soleskate, and waverider. These are more abnormal skateboards so my penny board tends to be my daily driver. However, none of these other boards provide as smooth of a ride as my penny board. Whenever I have time, I'll take the board out for an hour long ride around town and it provides a nice way to enjoy the town. The wheels haven't worn down at all and the trucks are at the tightness that seems to be just right for me. Others may want to tighten or loosen them a little but I like where mine are at. There is a little wear and tear by the tail from where I've kicked the tail back to stop. I do wish it came with some optional grip tape as the plastic doesn't seem to provide enough grip when wet. The deck has a lot of bend to it so I don't feel it will break unless a lot of weight is applied.~Pros~Smooth rideGreat for a college campusPerfectly tuned trucksLots of strong bend in the deck~Cons~No grip tapeNot meant for tricksLost my first Penny years ago and it got me everywhere. Such a blast from the past and it has the exact same quality. 10/10I absolutely LOVE this penny board!! I got it around March at the start of quarantine and I fell in love. I wanted to try something new and i figure i would try penny boarding. This one is light, and supper easy to use, it’s smooth and it’s easy to make turns. They’re small so it’s easy to carry around and honestly I love it, i take it almost everywhere I go, I also love to travel with it or just go out for a ride when I have a lot on my mind.Daughter loves it and it’s just what she wanted - it has lost a bit of glossiness with lists of use. Wheels have yellowed but expectedRides nice, I had to tweak it slightly with my skate board tool. The packaging was crap! Massive parcel with about 5 kilograms of paper for a skate board! But good productNice, only thing is couldn't register for lifetime warranty what Penny advertises. And when I asked about it no one repliedIt is really easy to learn to start cruising and learning to go round corners as it has nice trucks on it. If you're wanting to learn trick it is way to small to do this .Came in a good condition.
